Chris Sutton predicts when Nottingham Forest’s team bus will need its tyres replacing.

Radio 5 Live pundit and former Blackburn Rovers player, Chris Sutton, has predicted when Nottingham Forest’s team bus will require a tyre replacement.

Following his recent predictions surrounding his favourite club, Nottingham-born Chris Sutton has provided some interesting predictions surrounding Forest’s next run of games.

Nottingham Forest’s team bus happy to be back in the carpark.

Speaking to TalkSport about the forthcoming fixtures, Chris said, “I still think my boyhood club will qualify for the European Champions League this season. I was right about the Newcastle United game last Saturday when I said that Newcastle will bounce back and now I’m thinking about the next run of games and the lifespan of commercial vehicle tyres.”

“Forest have had a few away games, including that long run down to Exeter in the F.A. Cup. They were away at Bournemouth’s pitiful stadium in the league for a thrashing, they were up at Newcastle last week, and then down at Fulham for the game before that.  Nottingham Forest’s team bus will be well-pleased to be back in the carpark for the next few games.”

“I know they flew back following the disappointing Exeter City game but the trucking community knows the main factors surrounding the lifecycle of the tyres on Nottingham Forest’s team bus,” continued Sutton.”

It’s a long journey.

“The short answer is, if the bus can maintain its form, put in 100% on each outing, I reckon that Nottingham Forest’s team bus will get 45,000 miles on a good set of all-weather tyres.”

Forest’s owner Evangelos Marinakis will be looking for Nuno to steady the bus following a poor run of games. There is still a long journey ahead but, with just one win from the last four, the Greek shipping magnet will be hoping the Forest manager can get a few more miles out of the team bus without having to replace all four corners.

As long as the driver goes into each game with a positive attitude, regularly checks the tyre pressure, looks for bulging, and considers temperature, humidity and alignment, the Nottingham Forest team bus will be in a good position for the away games at Ipswich, Villa, Spurs and Crystal Palace.”

“Of Course,” continued Sutton, “they may get overtaken by the Saudi-owned Manchester City bus because that has a greater horsepower for those long, drawn-out journeys. It’s better funded, well-established, and perfectly equiped for the mileage.”

“As long as the wheels don’t completely fall off tonight against Arsenal, the Nottingham Forest team bus will be looking forward to the away journeys for the next few games.”
