When asked about the worrying situation at Nottingham Forest, Ange Postecoglou blames the recent failures on the school run.
Following a bitterly disappointing defeat to Midtjylland, the Danish equivalent of Charlton Athletic, Ange Postecoglou has opened up about the problems behind the string of disappointing results.
With no wins in six games, including last night’s embarrassing defeat to the Danish Charlton, the Europa Cup game didn’t live up to the hype and expectation of a club returning to European football for the first time in nearly 30 years.
The Pressures of parenthood at 60
Speaking to Parents.com – https://www.parents.com/ – a site for trustworthy advice on parenting, to help raise the next generation of confident and compassionate kids, Ange Postecoglou blames the current situation at the club on the school run, and describes Forest’s league position as disappointing.
As an older single parent, Ange Postecoglou not only recognises the pressures of parenting at the age of 60 but also realises what a f#%ked-up world we live in.
“Look, human beings aren’t meant to exist like this. I sit in traffic for an hour a day, just trying to get the bloody kids to school. Roads suddenly need repairing without any accountability, and temporary traffic lights suddenly appear out of nowhere, as if they have emerged from the ground like an alien race.”
“Everyone is in a hurry these days. Pensioners decide to do their weekly shop in rush hour traffic, nobody has any patience behind the wheel of a car, and I need to drop the kids off so I can get back to the training ground. Without a shadow of a doubt, the school run is responsible for the current run of results.”
Sitting just above the relegation zone in 17th position, Forest are yet to win under Ange Postecoglou, and this is Forest’s worst start under a new manager since 1804,when Edgar Alexander Fairfax was unable to get his plucky team of intoxicated steel workers to win in a Forest shirt until the deep, dark winter of 1805.
Not designed to deal with the $#it of the school run
Forest have conceded 13 goals in six games, and last night’s 3-2 defeat to a mythical Danish team – https://treeseasons.co.uk/midtylland-is-a-mythical-land/ – left the Forest fans chanting ‘You’re getting sacked in the morning’.
A squirrel was on the pitch at half-time, and it was noted that the squirrel’s heat map was more impressive than the majority of the Forest team’s. The squirrel was quick on the break, made darting runs into the heart of the opposition’s defence, regularly switched wings to stretch the full-backs, and also sat deep when required to thwart the risk of a counterattack.
Postecoglou finished by saying, “As an older father, I’m not designed to deal with this $#it. I wish I had a larger support group to help me out a bit more so I could concentrate on tactics and team sheets, rather than dealing with the stress of the school run.”
Forest go to Newcastle United on Sunday, and nobody in the world who is remotely aware of how football is played expects anything more than a heavy defeat for Nottingham Forest. It already feels like a season destined to finish in a relegation battle, and Tree Seasons predicts that the woe will continue well into the festive period.
