Qantas has confirmed a one-way booking for a Mr. Angelos Postecoglou on Sunday evening.
Speaking to Maureen on the Qantas bookings desk, she has confirmed that a gentleman with a strong European accent made the booking on Thursday night and insisted that he wanted the first available flight after 4pm on Saturday, 18th October.
Qantas has confirmed an excellent economy class service.
“The gentleman didn’t give his name, but he was very serious and paid in Euros. He was unconcerned with the particular destination in Australia; he just said that he needed to get an acquaintance to Australia as quickly as possible.”
“I told him that the earliest flight was the QF0720 to the remote Northern Territory town of Alice Springs. He just said that the destination was fine because, ‘At the end of the day, Qantas never crashes’. The gentleman was concerned with the emissions for this flight as the CO2e output is 5,141kg, and he paused for a brief moment to consider his options and then said, ‘At the end of the day, he has to go, regardless of the carbon footprint’.
Qantas has confirmed that the booking is in economy class and the passenger will enjoy an all-inclusive service on Australia’s favorite airline, with entertainment, refreshments, and checked baggage on every Qantas flight.
“At the end of the day, he can always swim.”
Maureen went on to say, “I thanked the caller for his booking and wished his business acquaintance a very pleasant flight. He said that I had been very efficient and thanked me for being so helpful. I did say, however, that he was lucky to be able to book a seat at such short notice, to which he replied, ‘At the end of the day, he can always swim’.
Qantas has confirmed that everything is in place for the departure of flight QF0720 from Heathrow Airport, but will Ange sink or swim this weekend?
