Marinakis did not hold a gun to Gibbs-White’s head. It was a fishing harpoon.

Speaking to Guns and Ammo magazine – https://www.gunsandammo.com/ –  Evangelos Marinakis has confirmed that he did not hold a gun to Gibbs-White’s head.

It was an ugly time for Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs became the first football club, ever, to have an ‘Here we go!’ that was as effective as a French border control.

What was held to Morgan Gibbs-White’s head to keep him at Nottingham Forest?

Picturing MGW in a Spurs shirt, Marinakis was furious that Levy had the audacity to even bid below the release clause fee, sending him into a rage that resulted in the destruction of a camper van, two 4K televisions, and four sirloin steaks with fries and onion rings.

Marinakis decided it was time to come clean about what really happened between him and Gibbs-White, and this is what he told us…

“It was a Thursday, I believe,” said the Greek shipping magnet. “I like to do things differently; an unorthodox approach to matters. I asked Morgan to join me on my yacht, positioned just off the coast of Monaco, in international waters.”

Barbed missiles have a profound effect on people.

“We airlifted in Morgan, and I offered him food, drink, cocaine, and a choice of high-class prostitutes. He said that he wasn’t hungry, so I sat him down, told him how I was Godfather to his children, and held a fishing harpoon to his head.”

“Barbed missiles resembling spears have a more profound effect on people, I find,” continued the multi-club owner.

“I told him that he wasn’t going anywhere and he will do exactly as I tell him, because, at the end of the day… we always win.”

“I offered him a cigar before handing the harpoon to my Albanian business associate, Vasil. I then unlocked my weapons cabinet and produced a blow torch, which I subsequently held to Morgan’s balls,” confirmed Marinakis.

When asked if Gibbs-White was shocked, Marinakis said, “No, not really. It’s usual protocol at my clubs to threaten players and staff with medieval weaponry. All the players know this.”

“Fortunately, when an Albanian gangster held the harpoon to Gibbs-White’s head and I ignited the blow torch, he came around to my way of thinking,” concluded Mr. Marinakis.

And that was the moment when Morgan Gibbs-White decided to remain at Nottingham Forest until 2028.
