It has emerged that Sean Dyche was appointed to the role of Nottingham Forest Head Coach due to his low carbon footprint.
The appointment was a surprise to many, and the arrival of Sean Dyche has raised a few eyebrows.
Many supporters have welcomed the appointment, while others have vehemently opposed it, stating that it is a backward step for the club and shows a lack of ambition.
At 8 pm this evening, Nottingham Forest will play Portuguese side FC Porto – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FC_Porto – in a Europa League clash at the City Ground, and Sean Dyche will take the five-minute walk from his home in West Bridgford.
Just over three years ago, you would’ve thought that Nottingham Forest being back in Europe was a thing of fantasy. Combine that with the idea of the team being led out by former Burnley manager Sean Dyche, and you have a storyline that could only emerge from the mind of Tim Burton.
Back then, you would’ve believed that the prospect of a Forest goalkeeper with hands made of scissors was far more likely than Forest playing in Europe under Sean Dyche.
A low carbon footprint is what Marinakis desires.
A low carbon footprint means reducing greenhouse gas emissions from daily activities, and nobody is more aware of this than Evangelos Marinakis, the owner of Nottingham Forest Football Club.
Speaking to ExxonMobil about his low carbon footprint, the Greek shipping magnate had this to say:
“A low carbon footprint is what I desire and, at the end of the day, we can always take the bus.”
Owning large shipping tankers and a private jet, Marinakis loves a good walk and is often pictured hiking around the North Nottinghamshire countryside, on crisp winter mornings with his two Dachshunds, Thatcher and Reagan.
“A low carbon footprint is never far from my mind. I always do my best for the environment as I hope to leave this planet in a better state than it was when I inherited it from my father.”
Morgan Gibbs-White participates in the cycle to work scheme.
“I try to achieve a low carbon footprint through personal choice like using sustainable transport, conserving energy in my palace, and eating substantially less,” said the abdominous owner.
“Two ways in which I have made some sizeable changes with regards to a low carbon footprint are by consuming fewer products and employing my Nottinghamshire staff within walking distance of the City Ground.”
“Despite what you might think, I am not motivated by money – it doesn’t interest me – and I am in no way an advocate of mindless consumerism.”
Marinakis concluded by saying, “The recent appointment of Sean Dyche appeared crazy at first, but, at the end of the day, Sean can always walk to work.”
Nottingham Forest is a club that is conscious of producing a low carbon footprint and have recently introduced a cycle to work scheme for the players and staff members alike.
Since losing his driver’s licence, England midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White has joined the cycling initiative and says that it has helped him build stamina and strength when trying to escape the clutches of his dog – Morgan Gibbs-White could be eaten | NFFC | Tree Seasons .
