Nottingham Glory Supporter Community Having Second Thoughts.

Members of the Nottingham Glory Supporter Community are now having second thoughts about their choice of club.

In the wake of a hugely successful season for Nottingham Forest, many glory supporters have decided that perhaps living in Nottingham and throwing time and effort into clubs like Spurs, Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City is not such a good idea after all.

Nottingham Glory Supporter Community are real fans.

“I started supporting United in 2017 when it was announced that Manchester United were the richest club in the world,” said Luke, 20, from Nuthall.” That meant that they could buy all the best players and I could sit in Nottingham, pretending to support them whilst watching Match of the Day.”

“Living miles away from Old Trafford and pretending to support Manchester United made me feel like a real fan. I bought a Marcus Rashford shirt and everything.”

“I bought a James Maddison shirt, said Matt, 34, from Bramcote, “but I regret it now because Spurs will never win anything with that t’@t in the squad. I should’ve bought a Morgan Gibbs-White shirt instead. He’s far better and should take Maddison’s England place too.”

Many fans are now aware that this Nottingham Forest side has caught the attention of the world, especially after taking four points from league leaders Liverpool and dismantling Brighton.

Forest currently sits third in the league, plays exciting counter-attacking football, and they are filled to the brim with likeable rejects, such as Hudson-Odoi, multi-lingual Anthony Elanga, the sensational Ola Aina, Welsh full-back Neco Williams, and in-form strike Chris Wood.

Who would’ve believed that Forest have some of the finest players in the Premier League?

Nottingham Forest consists of players who were discarded by their former clubs like one of Rio Ferdinand’s one-night-stands or the wife of Kyle Walker.

With so many egos and idiots in large squads such as Manchester United, Saudi-owned City, and Chelsea, the Nottingham Glory Supporter Community is now focusing its attention on becoming Forest fans.

I’m considering becoming a Forest fan now,” said Jack Torrance, 37, from Eastwood.” I’ve been a Chelsea fan since it was bankrolled in 2003; purchased by Russian Oligarch, Roman Abramovich by the order of Vladimir Putin. It seemed a good idea at the time. They were spending more money than America’s military budget and they were winning stuff.”

The Nottingham Glory Supporter Community has many stories like this. In fact, not that long ago, surplus tickets were available for Forest fans to see away games at Carlisle, Doncaster, Southend and Gillingham. Nowadays, the tickets are all being purchased by fans who have dropped their glory clubs and jumped on the Nottingham Forest ride to Europe.

Let’s hope the ride continues before the Nottingham Glory Supporter Community jumps back on pretend journeys to London, Liverpool and Manchester.

Not supporting Forest is an own goal for the Nottingham Glory Supporter Community.

It’s not all straightforward for the Nottingham Glory Supporter Community though. “I’ve recently thought about supporting Forest,” said Malcolm, 55, from Beeston. “I’ve been a Liverpool fan since the 1970s when Kenny Dalglish and Graeme Souness played for them. I’ve only ever been to Liverpool games when it’s been at the City Ground.  Liverpool will always be in with a chance of winning something whilst Forest will struggle again, and it’s not that easy being a Forest fan,” concluded Malcolm.

Forest are away at Fulham next, following a scrappy, late midweek win at Exeter in the F.A. Cup. With so much going in the right direction for Forest,  it is now anticipated that many more glory supporters from Nottingham have scored an own goal and they will be looking to buy a Forest shirts before the end of the season.

Tree Seasons’ prediction for the next game: Fulham 1 – Nottingham Forest 8 – COYR!
